Post by mwhitfield_2000 »

went down to cabbage tree on saturday and coming up from the river, the driver seat bracket broke (the left hand side where the back and seat connect)
is this a common problem? it happened in my MQ as well
How do you fix it ?

You can get bases to suit 90% of the aftermarket seats (Recarom Paratus etc), but as for any dropping straight in, doubt it. The GQ has a high step on one side of the base, about 3-4inch, the other side is level.

I would rather drive the GQ standing up, than a Saab... people might recognise you with the top down :D

GQ's can be driven with a milk crate if desperate, dust dont acceserate or brake too quick, other wise there may be issues,

you use the original runners that bolt to the seat, and base that bolts to the floor, the kit bolts all these bits together in the middle...

check your PM's about those windows.
