Just found this on the ATO website.
"The cleaner fuels grants scheme provides for the payment of a grant for eligible cleaner fuels manufactured in, or imported into, Australia. Biodiesel and biodiesel used in blends must meet the biodiesel fuel standard to be considered eligible cleaner fuels.
Currently the grant will offset the excise and customs duty ($0.38143 per litre on all biodiesel) payable provided the biodiesel or the eligible biodiesel component of a biodiesel/diesel blend meets the fuel standard. In this case the net effective excise rate will be zero."

I got my processor from that Scintex croud; www.scintex.com.auLuxyBoy wrote:Do you dry wash or wet washRosey55 wrote:I'm surprised you guys haven't found making biodiesel cost effective. I pump out 150L batches for around $50. The cost savings makes the small amount of effort collecting oil well worth while.
I've bought a few things off this Scintex business, pretty good to deal with, they've got some nice gear. I can't say I agree with their sprooking techniques
Ultrasonic reactor
Fully automated or manual system
Home put together or retailer bought
I want to get a fully automated, dry wash with ultrasonic reactor but the only place i have seen anything decent like this is America and after you import them the fuel cost savings are negated for quite a few years excluding repairs and maintenance to the system.

I also use their drywash product, makes it so much easier I reckon
I thought about building my own setup, to much stuffing around, got the complete package off them, it came with everything needed, got straight into producing.
Yes I believe you probably are suppose to pay tax on the fuel if your using on government roads, if anyone asks me I'm using on my mates farm...
