hey all wat does it mean when the transfer gear stick keeps geting jamed in gear. the only way to get it un stuck is to take it out and move it around and put it back it. any ideas out there???????

What vehicle...if its a sierra,could be a transfer shifter bush($20 part)..if you pull your shifter stick out,the ball at the bottom of the stick seats in this bush,and locates the correct position for shifting from 4H to 2H.easy to replace..

with a worn shifter seat (the bit that sits under the ball in your T/case gear lever) you can still easily use high and low range.
Most people will shift gears in a U shaped pattern cutting the corners, leading to jammed gears if you shift in a |_| without trying to cut the corners it will not jam anywhere near as often if at all.
