4BY INSURANCE

Post by awright »

Insurance renewal just came up....so I though I would look around

Most insurers will want to charge $600 to $850 per year and cover you for bugger all. Diff-locks arent normally covered, bar work may not be covered, after market lights, wheels tyres, racks, uhf etc, winch etc. often not covered.

I have spent a bit of time mucking around on the web but figured someone out there must have a good recommendation for a good insurer.

Currently with RACV agreed value is $8,500 which almost (but not quite) covers the recent work done to my motor!

PS will be insuring in Vic and it isnt a daily driver but worth too much (to me ) not to have covered.

:)

Try DGA Insurance Brokers, they have a scheme through CGU and Affinity Risk Partners who have scheme written by Lumley for 4wd Victoria.

x2 Lumley are great.

$588 a year for full comp on 83 HJ60 16k agreed value.
Certain rules apply but I also own the wreck!

I went through TCIS and they put me with Lumley Special Vehicles I think.

Everything is listed and I have a good agreed value. Plus it cost a little bit less than NRMA did who I used to be with on market value.

Never made a claim though so don't really know how good they are for sure.
