99 Jimny mods..... wat can i do?

Post by jimny_99 »

Hi all,
have a 99 jimny and all i currenty have on it is 225/75 tyres and 50mm spring spacers. im looking at getting the springs and shocks upgraded soon, what brands are good? ive seen a 2inch tough dog set for 950 on 4wd1.com but dont really want to spend that much. also front bars... is ARB the only place that make them. and finally engine upgrades.... can bigger vitara engines get put in????
any input on any other mods would be appreciated too[/img]

Do a search mate and see what you can find?

Punch in a lot of different options like "Jimny Conversion" Jimny to 1.6 etc etc

If you have the 13bb Im pretty sure you could use an 1.6 apdaptor to put in a VIT/Bal 1.6??

Do some searching and place you findings up and someone will help.

How do you find the 13bb runs? Good Motor?

They are pretty much the same as a sierra when it comes to fitting engines (anything goes), with the 1.6 vitara using the std spacing (even with adaptor) you need to watch the middle of the firewall, we had to cut a bit out to fit the dist.

cheers mark.

Ive been looking around, and have found some other forum sites that have mentioned rebuilding the engines and boring them out to about 1500cc. my motor is only at 110,000kms so its still running perfect, might look into this option aswell see what i can find.

Really! Ive never heard that one

I would talk to joeblow or a few others that see Zuk motors daily before I did that. A bore can be done very well or VERY bad!

Good luck!
