Jetstar flight Sydney to melb return. $198.00
Weekend pass to Outlaw comp. $55.00
Shuttle bus from avalon airport ;) $30.00
Greasey burger for lunches and breaky $40.00
Total $323.00

Attending Ragged Edge outlaw comp with your mates

*Priceless*

Anyway... This got me to thinking..... How many guys from sydney would be interested in something like the following pakage.....

Flight from sydney, Departs 6.00am Saturday arrives 7.35 am at avalon.
Shuttle bus pick up from Avalon takes you direct to event site.
Shuttle bus from Event site to accomodation in afternoon.
Shuttle bus from Accom to event in morning.
Shuttle bus back to airport sunday arvo, departs 8:15 pm arrive sydney at 9:35 pm
If we can get enough to commit i'll do a ticket/shuttle bus/accomodation package from this end. Either camping or motel what ever you'd prefer. The more we can get the better prices we can wrangle.
deposit would be required to secure you spot but from a preliminary calculation i came up with a $300 camping and $370 motel package, includng flight, shuttle, event entry and accomodation.. Meals extra..

PM me if you're interested

Would also do similar package from brisbane if the interest is there..

I reckon i'm up for that mate. I'll do a little ringing around tomorrow and see how many others might be interested. We would be catching a plane from Newcastle though but the depart and arival times you posted are very similar to newcastle anyway.

I'll let you know tomorrow.

Cheers Mick.

Great to see the boys coming south for the comp; I think it will be worth the trip! Thanks Ruffy.

Had a chat with Pete Antunac today; he's buying a weekend pass so he can win his truck back!

and then there must be a few more incomplete ones. How many moon buggy frames does Haultech have lying around.

Someone should by them and have a moon buggy class comp.
Toyota diffs
Hydro steer
Welded diffs
basic airshocks
Longfields.
37 inch tyres.

Would be a cheap, cool even playing field. People could play with setup and then it would come down to driver skill.

12. Troy Gill GU

Still waiting to hear back from a few others.

As for the moon buggy class; like Ruffy said it's already beyond an idea.....

Another two competitors signed up this week!

13. Tony Richards GQ
14. Murray Taylor Feroza

There's some very trick gear being built at the moment. I've had a few calls from potential competitors; if you could send me details (and pics preferably) to chris@raggededge.com.au I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Tickets are still selling well so thanks again for the support; there is some really cool stuff in the pipe-line for this comp. The best bit is somebody's going to drive that yellow beast in anger come Feb!

It gets better!

Spoke to the Red Bitch team this morning; they're trying to get down and I signed up Peter yesterday!

15. Peter White Hilux

I'll get some more details up for the comp this week too; doing a few things differently which should make it great for spectators.

Still some tickets left for the Door Prize for those who want to compete!

There are a few things in the works which should make this Event even bigger but I'll start with some of the things we have organised already (though I'm still keeping some things under wraps).

The trucks will race heads up. That means there are two tracks side by side. One truck on one track leaves the start gate at the same time as another truck on the other track. Scoring is based on gates and times are used as a secondary score to split placings; cumulative time not just that course.

Trucks will compete on placings: 24th races 23rd, 2nd races 1st, etc each session. So you won’t know until the last race on Sunday who will be the Outlaws Champ 2010. For some reason I'm hanging to see Mark Mitchell's tiny zuk front up against Phil Noble's massive GU.

The Ramp Champ Comp will be held on Sunday morning while the guys are racing which should be an eye opener for us Victorians. Saturday night we have something special under lights which I reckon will be worth the price of admission on its own.

Hope to see you there!

More info later....

2. Phil Noble GU
3. Mark Mitchell Zuk
4. Sean Lee Jeep
5. Wayne Murphy Zuk
6. Michael Depasquale Jeep
7. Murray Taylor Feroza
