[QLD] DYNO CHALLENGE
Gday Guys.....
Just a quick post to see if their is any interest in holding a Dyno Day for Outer Limits 4x4 Forum members.....
We regularly hold these for performance vehicles but i'm keen to see if it is something 4wd guys would attend.
The basic concept is to strap your vehicle onto our Dyno and do a couple of power pulls under full throttle to measure the power, torque, AFR & boost. You'll get a printout of the run which can be used to track down tuning issue or just to bench race......
We are located at Redcliffe, see http://www.rdpaustralia.com.au
We would also normally allocate trophies for highest HP in various catagories such as 4cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl, with normally aspirated or turbocharged, i guess we should also split into Petrol & Diesel.
Their would be a nominal fee of $30 per vehicle (which we charge $85 for on a daily basis).....
We would be able to organise some trade displays as well, Also..... I would encourage the forum organisers to run a sausage sizzle.
So Guys...... What are your thoughts????? And suggest any dates.....
Regards
Jeff

Sounds great mate.
I'll keep an eye on dates and try to get a few local CQ guys interested!
It sounds like alot of fun.
Just a question will you make the rigs compete on thier comp tyres... I reckon it would be good to see! If you run 37's you gotta run them on the dyno too!
And why don't you do a ramp comp too!
That way you could get an overall king of the event. Someone with HP and offroad flex!
Just ideas.
I'll definately be keen for a look.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a date???? End of July???
Preferably we would run it on a Saturday, kicking off around 8am and running through till everyone's had a go.
We welcome all makes and models, stockers to comp trucks.
