GQ rear prop valve

Post by sambo »

I did a rear disc conversion on the 60s a while ago, including an 80s master cylinder, but the back still has way to much bias.

I have come across a rear proportioning valve from a GQ and am wondering if it will still work with no front brake line attached to it. So only rear in and out.

I don't think it will work. Brake bias valves are not as expensive as you would think either.

The nissan proportioning valve robs the rear brakes and re-directs it to the front.

The prop valve is also $700+ for a new GQ and $500+ for new GU. They are not servisable so I have been told by a brake specialist, they have tried and almost always have leaks.
