What engine will bolt up to Bundera Auto? Help required!

Post by Mudbits »

I have a LJ78 Landcruiser Prado (Bundy) Auto/Transfer and would like to know if there are any petrol 4 cylinder engines that are easily adapted to this. I know the 1UZ will bolt up but I would like to stay with a 4 cylinder.
Are there any Toyota engine/bellhousing configurations that will adapt to this auto or to the transfer using another auto? Maybe a 3sge or similar? I was planing to run a SR20 but maybe there is an easier option???

Man best trick would be to unbolt the bellhousing off the auto and take it to ya local import/wreaking yard and trial fit it to some 4 pot yota donks or shyte can the auto for the 60 series 5 speed and get a GM bellhousing and fit 2 4cyls in the shape of a 350 chev mmmm no substitute for old school cubes :D :D
Cheers
