Extended shackles

Post by Jonezy01 »

Im looking at puting 2" ext shackles in the rear of my 92 triton ute and just winding the torsion bars up in the front, problem is they recon that you cant put extend shackles in a triton for some reason? is this true? also is there any other "cheapish" options to lift the rear up 2" also iwill i be able fit 33" under it with just a 2" lift.

Shackles will give you more flex, so I'd pick those for the rear. No you can't put shackles on the front just crank the torsion bars.

They may have been pointing out that extended shackles are considered unroadworthy in Queensland, or they simply don't have a listing in their "book".

I can't think of any reason that it can't be done, but you may need custom shackles made.

You can use the same lift shackles that the old leaf sprung paj's run. There off of theFRONT of a SFA'd toyota truck. They will give ya 2in.
