GU front axel problems
GU front axel problems
Gday fellas. i have a TD42 GU
no long ago i blew my LHS CV. so took a quick trip down don kyatts to fix it all up.
ive replaced both CV's, plus throwing swivel hub, an wheel bearing kits into both sides.
now ive gotten right to the end and i cant get the damn circlip on that holds the inner gear of the free-wheeling hub to the axel splines on.
the only thing i can possibly see it bein is the w/bearing cups not seated properly cause that is what the little spacer ring sits on, but i am damn sure i put them in properly so im absolutely doing my own head in at the momant tryin figure it out.
anyone able to help us out?
thanx [/img]

I had the same problem, just put a rag on the end of the axle and used vice grips to pull the axle out just that bit further, i think i had grease between that brass washer thing and the cv and had to pull real hard to squeeze it out
gq wagon now a gq ute, straight gas tb42 with a thing on the side that makes it go fast
I then use a small flat screw driver in the snap ring groove to hold it out while I get the sna ring back in.Tuflux308 wrote:I had the same problem, just put a rag on the end of the axle and used vice grips to pull the axle out just that bit further, i think i had grease between that brass washer thing and the cv and had to pull real hard to squeeze it out
