I'm averaging 20L/100km around town and highway, with a supercharged V8 and 33" tyres. BUT, that's on LPG
So with gas in my area sitting around 1/3 the cost of normal unleaded, the cost is the equivalent of ~7L/100km on petrol

Many cars have the speedo set to read 5% more than the odometer. That means drive at indicated 100km/h for an hour and the odo reads 95km.
I've got tyres that are 3" taller than stock but i've installed the correct speedo gear into the t/case. I had to do this after i did ratios because my speedo was out about 60klm/hr... cruising at 100klm (by the gps) my dash said i was doing 160klm/hr Since i had the ratios done i'm getting 2-3L/100klm better economy. On the other hand my mate with his 4.8L patrol can get his down to about 22L/100klm on a good day.
