I would prefer a different option that allowed a couple of hours from end of comp to presentation, to allow time to pack up before presentation and leave as soon as it finishes...... ;)

Fair call. What time would you want to be driving home is pretty much the deciding factor as we always TRY to give people time to pack up before presentation. The club is just trying to find out want the general opinion is.
cheers.

run the event , finish when it finishes and ill take my trophy and go home
seriously, its about 4wding and unless you live close you will still be drivin in the dark. My view , organiser decides when and where for me. If ya want to change the time for finishing, put up ya hand and run the event in 2010 and finsh whatever time you want.
I have experience in organising events and feel for the people who have just spent a year organising the event to have people want to change things now

Appreciate the imput.I have put up my hand for next year and we wouldn't be putting this up if we hadn't checked with the organisers first.

option 1 or 2...

after 2 days of competing and running around there's nothing worse than a 3hr+ drive in the dark to get home, especially if once you get home you still have to unpack everything so your ready for work the next day...

We are paying an entry fee to compete in a 4wd comp not half a comp to come home early. Mine and my teams opinion is that when its finished its finished and then we will go home. Getting home late once in a while never killed anyone.
