Picked up an 80 series last night but prob with sub tank.
1. Sub tank gauge does not read after I put 20 litres in it.
2. When you press sub tank switch the switch light goes on but turns off straight away
Any suggestions?
Daniel

80 SERIES SUB TANK QUESTION
I'm not quitting drinking, I'm retiring at the top of my game - sporting comeback likely.
for the switch:
control module is kaput ( passengers side behind the rear seats in the side panel)
common problem, i have 2 dead ones here
you can test the transfer solenoids if you like which can also also fail
but my money would be on the control module
you can bypass it...
pull the sender and check, under the carpet from the back of the car
or the guage could be stuffed...
