[NSW] Rockcrawling weekend: 29/30 Aug 09, Bucketty CANCELLED

Post by tt6_lux »

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WEEKEND CANCELLED
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

see notes further in thread.

Crawling weekend organised at Bucketty (pictures in a previous thread: Private property Bucketty.). Bucketty is around 30 km inland from Peats Ridge, NSW - so pretty much a neat 100 km from Sydney CBD and about the same from Newcastle.

Property suits buggies and bodied vehicles containing slightly deranged drivers.

Camping and trailer space available to overnight Saturday 29.

Note: there is no venue fee, there is no on-site recovery vehicles, this is this is not a comp, there is no insurance. Bring some witches hats if you want to mark out lines to drive with your mates.

Location details will be sent by p.m. to confirmed attendees before the weekend (need an idea of numbers)

I got my rebuilt disconnect from Yuri yesterday - this afternoon I'll have a 4wd rock crawler, instead of a front wheel drive only carpark crawler. ;)

If you need a recovery any other time call him on 0400 469186, i've threatened to call him at 2 in the morning but yet to try it :D

Just a supercheap boat/trailer winch - yank it hard enough and it unwinds. Think I'll use a length of chain and throw some heat shrink over it so it doesn't rattle so much.

Hey everyone,

Since there is a fair crew coming, and because this is the first time we are using this property, I have made arrangements for a porta dunny unless anyone has a better suggestion.

If each vehicle can chuck in $10 towards the cost it would be appreciated. This way we don't make a mess of the guy's property and we hopefully get to come back.

Updated the list of people interested (makes it easier for me to send directions etc).

Still waiting on confirmation of Friday night camping, but I don't expect this to be a problem.

napsta is organising a portashitta and I'm organising a bbq - I'll chuck $50 towards a Saturday lunch bbq, that should buy a case or two of softdrinks, a kilo or two of sausages, onion and bread.

I'll sort out map and directions shortly and pm details to people confirmed attending.
