Ive seen a F250 filter with a custom airbox made on the 6 litre conversion (but cant find the post anymore). I had heaps of room with my GU gen3 for dual batteries. But your running twin high mount turbo's arent you? Your going to need HEAPS of air. My snorkle was only just enough for my stock engine. Your going to need to run a custom mandrel bent 1 and maybe this filter http://www.bmcairfilter.com/infoCDA.asp

Or a dual air system (snorkle, and another that draws air from under the car) that can be shut of to only use the snorkle when 4x4ing.

im using a standard holden airbox at the moment and its too small for the motor so i need a decent induction set up, but hoping to find something so i can fit dual batteries as well, its a common conversion surely someone has been through this before???

in the passenger side front corner. would fit perfect and the air box outlet size and throttle body size would be very similar so making a pipe to join the two would be piss easy. also makes it easy to hook it up to a snorkel (factory or aftermakret kind)

I have not not done it yet but I would say that dual batteries a V8 and ZD30 airbox will require relocation of windscreen washer bottle and possibly custom battery tray.

What did you use for engine mounts ?

why would you need to relocate the washer bottle, washer bottle is drivers side behind the headlight, gu airbox is passenger side behind the head light, and i would have thouht if theres enough room for stock battery which there is, there would be room to use the TD42 second battery tray that sits in front of the over flow bottle

did u mean against the fire wall. coz the if the airbox sits behind the head light i wouldnt have thought there would be enough room between that and the overflow bottle??

and in responce to earlier question im using the marks adaptors engine mounts

Sorry meant over flow bottle.

With a V8 you should be fine with the ZD30 box. Its a Turbo diesel with a bigger turbo on it that is the problem.

hey buddy,
iv got a 5.0l in my gu and are currently "about" to do the custom stainless snorkle jobby!
iv also thought long and hard about the airbox/snorkle problem..(currenlty just using the holden airbox)
the tb45 airbox is a shit of a thing to try and put anywhere then where its meant to be..! and i also want to run duel batteries so im thinking about the zd box also!
it plums strait into the hole in the guard and mounts nice and neat at the front! (i'd just have to move the fuel cannister breather thingy elsewhere..)

i'l have to get a move on,get it installed and get some pics up

cheers
