Hey guys, well im after any help any of you guys can give me, i have a sj70, im looking to modify the suspension, i want to keep the car for on road driving, and i also want to do weekend comps in it around the place, i have a set of 33" muddies ill be runnin on the weekend, so my question is, whats the best wat to lift it??? when i got the zook it was already sprung over. i was going to go a 50mm body lift, and i was looking at th calmini 5" lift but have decided against that, can anyone give me some advice on howto lift it?? Thanks guys.

Hey mate if its already sprung over you should be able to run 33s no probs as it sits now. Don't go too much higher otherwise it'll be unstable with a higher COG. Especially in comps.

also - dont ask on a forum the best way to lift it based on no info...
best to know the terrain you're driving... on road, sure - but whats the main offroad you're doing? this will affect the lift style you go for.
oh, and SPOA on mine would clear 34's if i did a minor guard chop... running 31's atm no worries.

If you sprung over already, and you want to drive it on the road, i would have a good chat to the authorites as you may find you cant legally register it (SPOA is illegal in QLD). If you decide to stay SPOA dont lift it anymore, its already high enough. Work on lengthening the WB if you want to do suspension work on it. A Rear up front conversion would be very beneficial. Post some photo's up so we can give you some ideas. SPOA will fit 33's quite easily.

Also, driving a sprung over car on the road in QLD is illegal and AFAIK is un-engineerable. However, if you're car was engineered SOA before the current rules came in you may get away with it. Just a heads up.

How long ago. SPOA hasn't always been illegal, if they had it plated ages ago it may well be legal as v840 said. This is the reason why people should speak to their local authorities before they start working on/buying projects.
