Nissan Patrol Heavy Duty Trailing Arms Group Buy!

Post by Angry_Cat »

Who would be interested in a pair of Patrol H/D Rear Trailing Arms?

Price wont be known until we get an idea of how many to make.
Normally $360 (powder coated and without bushes) but for a group buy, price will get cheaper.

They'll be powder coated in Precious Silver and made to any length requested.

If this is in the wrong section, please move to where it belongs.. ....Mrs Wazza

The arms are made out of RHS and the Bush Eyelets are machined from Hollow Bar to a greater thickness than factory made arms.

Are the bush ends welded parallel with the tubing or are they kicked to the sides to allow for the angles(ie made as a left and right pair) from diff to car?

It'll depend on how many ppl are interested.
Our rrp price of $360 includes a minimum cost for powdercoating (therefore costs more just making one pair) and the time it takes Warren to make them at the moment. Nothing is pre-bought or pre-made and once Warren's machinery/workshop is up and running, these will be made quicker, therefore price will be better for a larger order.

To this day we make them the way we have since 2006, when it was first made for an extended wheelbase Patrol for the OBC. During this event Warren saw the whole weight of the vehicle resting on the arms, while getting winched over a rock ledge and it was enough to prove it's worth.

No offence intended but i think $360 is massively over priced considering theres about $50 dollars worth of material in the pair. In a jig you could have one set made in an hour.

doesnt mean that your product is any better than Superiors if that is what you are insinuating..quite insulting the way you said that Mrs Spamma (oops Wazza)

give me Mecavel Hollow bar arms, strongbacked with 25 x12 complete with bushes over RHS ones minus bushes anyday..

Mmm
Anyway ,my opinion is it is extremely expensive for RHS with a steel boss welded , but if you can sell them for that good luck with it.

Thanks :) and it'd be good if we can stick to the topic of getting a good price for ppl interested in a group buy.... not what we sell them for individually. This post is to give ppl a good price on a good item and once ppl let me know if they would be interested, we can then work out a good price. It just might be better than what anybody is selling at the moment ;)

so why couldnt you either

a) post them in the for sale section like the forum rules say to

and

b) just make a batch of them in the first place and sell them at a reasonable price..having a "group buy" that is going to be influenced by whether or not you get a good response is just a way of admitting that you were ripping people off in the first place with the original price..

A).. i had mentioned if it's in the wrong place to be put in the right place.

B).. why make a batch and then not sell them. We don't have to sell them cheaper, we do quite well as it is.... it was suggested to us if we can get ppl interested in a large amount would we sell them at a cheaper price. So yes, we have thought about it and decided if there are enough ppl, we'll do it. If not, price remains the same. We're happy either way.

The post is if someone's interested let us know..if you don't then no need to reply to post.......

thast fine Angry cat however the way you went about it when questioned on your price was quite arrogant to say the least..you basically claimed that yours was Superior (hehe) to all the other products on the market because you said it was....

can i ask you then, to get a decent comparison, how much for your arms complete with bushes..just normal retail price please..

i would just like to compare the difference between Superiors hollow bar arms for $330 retail with bushes to yours with bushes..

i am assuming that is 65x35x3 RHS or is it 50x25x3 RHS
