GUYS, JUST WONDERING IF THE CURRENT MODEL RANGE ROVER SPORT 18" RIMS ARE THE SAME STUD PATTERN & OFFSET TO FIT MY 99 DISCOVERY SERIES 2? OR NOT POSSIBLE?

Correction, ALL series landies from 1948-on had the 5 on 6.5" stud pattern. Same as 110s, 90s, defenders, and those you mention.

Iam sure p38 disco 2 and rrs are all 5x120
most bmw and holdens and some fords run 5x120 too
but not sure if centers big anuff?or able to be lathed out?
if that the case d2 p38's could bling out on some offset 20" rims
as stud pattern common fairly cheap :cool:

Not possible.

They may be all 5x120 but thats about it. The RRS centralising spigot is a different diuameter to that on the D2 and P38, with the D2 one being bigger.... so although the PCD is the same, the wheel probably still wont fit on.

Wrong way around Simon ;) .

The hub on the LM (L322 Range Rover), the LS (Sport) & LA (D3) is bigger than the D2/LP (P38).

There are centralising rings available so that the later wheels fit the earlier (smaller) hubs. The nuts also need to be the right ones for the wheels.

Are the centralising rings needed??? Surely the studs do that job? People used to machine out the old RRC rostyle/cookie cutter rims so they fit on series landies with FWHs. The rims then did not locate on anything apart from the studs.

Doh! Thanks Scott, thats what I meant..... not what I typed! :oops:

The RRS/D3 etc wheels will fit the D2/P38, but not the other way around.

Actually rereading it all now I don't know what I was saying. I think I read the question around the other way... but as above.

Apparently so, unless you just drive around at 60kph.

They're not expensive if you get them from the right source. Avoid the plastic ones though.

Definitely not. They are 5 on 6.5" Late models are 5 on 120 mm.
