what shop does best power steer conversion on a 40 series???

Post by DIRTY ROCK STAR »

Looking at getting 60 series power steering with 55 series column on a FJ40, need to know who does good work, fairly priced work and possibly shitty work around newcastle/sydney.....

if someone wants to warn me of shitty work then PM me if you dont want everyone to see..

otherwise all tips would be great.

just want labour and some engineering after i gather all the components..

cheers all.

pretty sure the only major thing you have to do is move the shock tower to the other side of the shock. pretty easy.

Yeah I did it and was the best thing ever...no more wandering all over the road..though the job is a bit more involved than what I was led to believe..
I had to remove the stock shock tower and refab new ones as well as take out the battery tray support bracket and refab that too...be sure to use crush tubes thru the chassis rail on the 4 mounting bolts.....
