Speedy response needed - Maruti axles same as w/t 1.3 ?

Post by mrRocky »

Put a locker in the front of the 96 1ltr stockman yesterday and i have no drive at the front wheels at all. Iam told that a normal locker -powertrax brand would fit a maruti center same as a 1.3 and it went together in the center fine but its like the axles are way to small and just seem to spin in the diff. Did i break it before i realised or are maruti axles smaller than normal sierra's ?

sounds like you have put a 26 spline locker in the front. the front standard is a 22 spline. was it the model with couplers or without? and did you use the original axles?

you've inadvertently done a good mod =) just put rear axles in the front and have stronger front axles!

1 problem - my diffs are 4.1 ratio
if you want to get them swaped over i would be keen to split the cost with ya, flick us a p.m. and we can sort it out.

cheers mick
