types of fuel pumps

Post by strom80 »

My machanical fuel pump on the clevo (351) has decided it wants to leak. So my question is.
Would it be better to go to an electric one or stay with the machanical? and

Which one would be more reliable?

I would stick with the mechanical, theyre generally more reliable (im always replacing electric fuel pumps), plus theres no further mods you have to do, just a quick swap.

There are a few different types of mechanical pumps available for Clevo's..
1, Standard 302/351 pump.
2, GTHO phase 3 pump.
3, Holley pump.
4, Edelbrock pump.

I'd go the Phase 3 high volume/capacity pump.. I have one on my 351 and it supports 500HP without a drama.
