Coopers Rally LCMP 18-19 July 2009

Post by digsy »

Hey guys.... No it's a little late for a thread up here as it's already happening but is there any news from the Coopers Rally?

Is Ian Palthridge competing after Cliffhanger?

How's the Central Queensland boys going?
I think Cory Howe in his Deisel Shorty is running, Swaffy in his Bumble Bee (supercharged Gen Shorty Yellow/black)
And is Jason Larcome running too? Black SWB GQ with turbo petrol six... sounds like a jet aeroplane...

Anyway any updates... I was suppose to go race this but was STUPID and dropped a 1mm cutting blade on my foot whilst building my cage! STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!

Yes Ian did compete, a couple of roll overs.....bad being the supercharged shorty from Rocky.
This was my first event in my new Turbo charged GQ ute.....went great, bar a few little teething probs, other than that top weekend.
Thanks to Landcruiser park.

Kind regards Chad and Damo

Yeah I got a text from the boys and they informed me that they hit a stump on the go and tore the rear control arms off the diff and did a bit of suspension damage - the stump also caused them to roll but it must not have been too bad as they said they would of continued if the suspension wasn't so damaged....

Anyway sounds like a good one... any news on Cory Howe? Still stickin it to the petrol boys with it Deisel? It goes well that old girl eh!

Thanks for the update... any photos and info on your car would be great!

Catch ya.

Mosko it's like a high speed offroad race.
Think class 8 but with harder tracks sometimes... like one of the stages in a previous coopers was Cruser Canyon with some high speed before and after.
You would need a decent car to compete but no winch GPS etc.

Like a winch challange with no winches and approx 15min stages...

Everyone that goes raves about it!
Even Swaf and Phil (in the rolled bee) said it was "Awesome!"
but that is what the Bee is good at........... well unless you clip a stump.... he he
