what kind of oil can be used instead of there own, does smell like gearbox oil
Or give up on it and put a better filtering, odourless, clean paper filter in your car that lets the airbox work the way it was supposed to.
There's so much negative tech (and actual science) on olied foam/gauze filters now you'd be mad to run one.
