Installing a GME TX 3600 UHF into BT50

Post by TSN08 »

I've just aquired a GME TX 3600 UHF and I'm having some dramas deciding where to install it in my BT50. I want it out of the way but it seems to be too big for the console next to the lighters, unless I take the bracket off and use double sided tape to hold it in position. The problem with this is that the speaker will then be blocked off. I suppose I could put an external speaker there but not sure where I'd put that then. The guys at TJM were less than helpful. Does anyone have any suggestions or photos of ways they have fitted theirs?

i put mine in that little spot it's a tight fit but it will go.
once in, it does not affect the speaker in any way but apart from that there really isn't anywhere practicle unless you want to screw it in the dash....
don't laugh ive seen it done before
