searched to no success,
have a factory locker here came out of 4.2l with 4.1 diffs. wondering if i can put it into a rb30 with 4.3s. im guessing diff gears could just be changed and intake manifold would have to be modified for hose to vacuum locker, or can the one of the 4.2 manifold screw straight into the rb30 manifold and all be functional.
cheers for your input

just change the gearset on the factory locker to 4.3 and bolt it in.THICKNICK wrote:searched to no success,

all you need is a nipple on one of the inlet manifold blanks and a line to the solenoids.
you are best off fitting the origional tank and 1 way valve aswell.

Yes it will fit. obviously you will need to change your diff gears to match them up. you have to change the housing and all though not just the centre.
if you use the vacuum tank of the 4.2 that will be fine. make sure the one way valves get used as well. its an easy install once you get all the bits you need. if you just tap into the brake booster vacuum port and run a T to the vacuum tank that'd do it.
cheers

It doesnt have to be a diesel, it can be the factory locker tank as they are the same vacuum tanks. you can use either.. go to the wreckers , should be cheap enough.
its plastic and aout 4" x 6" i diameter. generally located on the inner left hand guard, pending models.
good luck
