Hi Guys,
Once again in need of your expertise and babbling .....
I own a Soft Top Middy FJ73, I am wanting to do an engine swap in it, I have been (as some of you may have read) wanting to drop in a V8, but I am now thinking of taking out the 3F in favour of the 4.5l Twin Cam 6...
Has anybody done it, is it hard, do the bellhousings match or not, if not should i buy an adaptor, or use the newer box, will the newer box be hard to fit, blah blah blah and blah some more...
You know all of the general questions and answers involved in a swap, the eight could be fun but the six will cut down rego and insurance costs, plus still have good torque, then there is always the option of a blower...
Much help needed, i mean any help appreciated,
Meldge...

Auto Questions and MTR fitment
Hmm, nobody knows or nobody cares...
Oh well, guess i'll have to do it all on my own, AGAIN...
Hmm, I just went and spent more money on the roll bars in my soft top middy, i have the hinged windscreen and I tilted it up closer to vertical, heaps more room in the cab.
Sorta needed to do it, I was going to put lights along the top of the windscreen (after being told by QT that I could), so I had rollbars made high so that they would be at the same height as the lights once fitted. QT then told me it can't be done and i'll get defected, so instead of cutting a few inches out of the eight bars that bolt to the plates and through the floor, it was easier to tilt the window.
Looks okay, sorta, front shockies have sagged so once susp. gets done, it should look a little better though.
Also looking at a set of MTRs 35", what size rims would be better to fit them upto.
