37s on a 60 series
i have a 2 inch suspension lift and im putting a 2 inch body lift in what else should i do any help would be great the tyres are 37 x 13
i am SPOA, 2 inch body, and 2 inch spring, and my 37s still touch the back of the guard, if i spaced forward and inch i would be fine

ive got 3.5 spring lift +2" body and extended bumps they dont rub on road but offroad they still rub , the front not as bad but on the rear inner wheel tub and just on the mudflap . 1.5" spacers will fix the rear (for offroad only) and you will have to cut the front under the headlights to get any real up travel.

buy that i mean, how much meat are you willing to cut away?
i love the 60s, had one myself, and now own a 75, but i was planing on buying another 60, but the 75 came up at a good time and couldnt pass on it.
i too was planing on running 37s eventually. and i believe it is possible to get them under a 60, without going soa. there are springs you can source, made to suit a 60 that have a 4 inch lift, and do flex quite well so i am told, and i was going to get them on my 60., i know a fella that is on here that is running them(mouse is a green 60 choped into a ute now)
they would be a good start, that and a body lift, then some gaurd chopping, again have a look at mouses work he has done very well, however i think he was only running 35s when i last really had a good look at his build up.
you will need to think what you really want out of the 60 to go about doing it, if your keeping it a wagon, well maybe soa is the only way, but if your going to chop it, take enough out of the front gaurds and i think you should be able to do it,
i was going to actually re manufacture my own front quarter panels, so that the tyres tucked up into them. running a good bit of offset, and massaging the inner panels,
most of my ideas came from a few guys that run 40/45 series, who have had a good yarn with and informed me how to run up to 39s on a stock height 40/45. but a few chops and re manufacturing are needed.
the only reason i ever put alot of though into this is i am not a fan of going to high in suspension and body lift to just go a bit further in tyre hight, i would rather just go up in tyres and leafs it relatively low in suspension.
now just remember that that is only my personal belief, and as yet hasn't been proved, i wish it had but mmmm..... as i know there are a few people that like to get nasty when people only voice thier opinion...

I saw this at a local 4wd shop/wreckers a couple of years ago. The tyres are 37x14.50. It has Belton 4" springs, 2" bodylift and cut guards. Pretty sure the guy who owned it said it was still rubbing and he was going to put extended shackles on it as well.

not really a computer nut so some info on getting pictures from my pictures to the web then to here would be apreciated. the suspension is 60 series rear springs on the front shackle reversal with custom shackles diff rolled with box tube front shaft custom hi steer made from cut and welded steering arms rear suspension are foot longer than originals dead flat will quite happily invert roughly 13 leaf packs custom shock crossmember which still isnt enough will now cut floor and run tube member into back 18 inch pro comps on back 16 inch 9000xs on front with custom towers

Mate i had 4" springs from Hobzee, but removed leaves to a 5L rear and 4L front with 2" snake shackles and a 3" bodylift, front was fine but rear rubbed on inner guard and chassis also.Wambat wrote:wazza what was your spring shock and shackle combo?? and you were still sprung under yes? assuming you had a body lift, and how much chopping did you have to do?

reason i am asking is soon i will be looking at fiddling with the suspension on the 75, and eventualy i want to run 37s, but it being a bit different than the 60 i dont think much 60 tech will help ???

No, never had anything to do with 37 on a 75, but yeah Hobzees springs arent half as flexy as he says, but his prices are ok.
I customised the ones i bought from him from 8L to 5L rear and 6L to 4L on front.
They were ok then but ultimately, we want a spring over, flatter springs and only as much body lift as required, not so it looks like a monster truck!
That there is the key to flex out of leafs mate.
Downwards is where u want the movement, to keep that rubber on the ground as best ya can.

yeah ima real fan of not going to high, mate i would seriously do what ever i could to use no lift at all lol, but i know that that cant happen, well if the 75 is half as good as the 45 i may be able to get it, will see when i can get the time to rip into the truck with an angle grinder!!!!
