Mate's got a 100 series with a vibration problem. Not your normal suspension/steering component problem?
He's checked all bushes, bearings, etc. and can't find a problem. Jacked it up with all 4 wheels off the ground and problem appeared to be coming from front diff. Took centre out and had diff specialist inspect it. No problem, got new bearing kit put through front diff anyway. Still problem.
He reckons it seems to be a body vibration. Body mounts all tight.
Any suggestions, is this a common 100series fault?
Can anyone suggest a GOOD 4wd mechanic who may be able to nut out this problem, he's in Point Cook. I suggested OnTrack. He's a mechanic himself (nissan dealer about 10yrs ago) but its got him fukd.

Hard to elaborate. I have no idea what causes it so can't help rectify it but whenever we trade cruiser or prado we always drive them. Some of them just have a boom in them like the whole body in vibrating and it comes through the whole car. Pretty hard to sell one that boom's so they usually go to auction or sold to other yards etc.
Pretty common in my experience. Never heard of it other makes. Might be because they are AWD? Only usually in cars done 200+ks.

I'm not quitting drinking, I'm retiring at the top of my game - sporting comeback likely.
