I can buy a landcruiser 60 series trayback or a 4runner, which is better for offroad and which can take more of a flogging?

petrol or deisel and wich model 4runner,

The 60`s is a lot stronger but heavier.There are more after market products for a 4runner.

60 is a pretty solid car with a fairly solid engine and transmission to boot. If fuel economy is a consideration go the runner.
