Hi there. I tried to serch but nuffin came up. Ive got a 1993 wide trak zooky and i wanna fit 31's under her. will these fit withot puting new suspencon under it?? Also, im wanting to get more flex, what do yous think about drop shakles? Thanks. From sven
Sven, to fit 31's under the Sierra you will need to atleast fit a 2" body lift, about $200. You will also need to trim/bash your guards to prevent them from scrubbing.
To get better flex without new suspension you should look into longer shocks and modifying your bumpstops. Many people will argue that drop shackles are bad and dont help off road. They only provide show off flex.
I have no expeiance with them so I wont comment, however you will find that others have very strong opinions on drop shackles.
I noticed that your in NSW. As you may of heard, new laws are being introduced where you can only lift you car by a total of 50mm. that means if you run a Body lift you will have reached the 50mm. Having 31's will raise it over the 50mm threshold, thus making it illigal after the 1st od August.
My advice to you would be not to invest any money into raising you car until things become clear about the new laws in NSW and also consult an engineer before you lift your car.
If in the mean time you want to make your 4wd more capable look into fitting a locker.
Hope this has been of some help.

5.12, 34" SUPERSWAMPER, REAR AIR LOCKED
get ya fire retardent gear on... I ran drop shackles for a good 12months and found they gave vague steering and opened up on side angles. Most people will tell you they use their's shut but what the point?
31's will fit without a lift, move the front axle forward 15mm, trim or cut off the wings and a 25mm bump stop front and rear. This is my lwb with no lift and 31s. The front axle in this pic has been moved forward 20mm
The rear.
