whats the advantage of 16x10 rims

im running procomp 16x10s with big offset. rims look sooo good but keep having trouble with bead leaks and rolling em off the bead.
im thinking of selling em and going back to a 15x8 with external bead locks
what advantages/disadvantages do 10s have over 8s and 16s over 15s?
what should i do?

How wide are the claws? I'm guessing 12.5?

depending on brand, a external bead lock 8" rim will be 9" as your tyre will be the bead thickness pasr 8".

I run 13.5" tyres on 10 rims, the 12.5's might be better suited to a 8" rim

i have the same problem, rolled 3 tyes off the rims on 2 weeks(running 25psi)....bit crap considering i was told my 315/75/16 were designed to go on a 10 inch rim, i like the stability of the 10" but dont want to keep having this problem. does internal beadlocks gurantee that they wont come off the rim? whats the price of internal vs external?

As a rule of thumb, you can have up to 2" on each side of your rims; therefore if you have a 12" tire 8" rims are good, if you run a 13.5" tire 10" is the recommended size.
I run a 12.5", so I should be on a 9" rim, but I'm currently running 8", this helps me when running tires on low psi, so they do not come off that easy.
So, if you are runnin 12.5" and can't get 9" rims, go with the 8"; if you are running 13.5", then 10" is your number.

I have run 16x10's and the tires fall off the rims,
Current car came with 16x8's, on a 13.5" claw, i run them down to 10psi without locks and i'm yet to run one off the bead...

Exactly, an 8" rim will "bite" the tire keeping it from comming off, ans it also helps to give you a little more height, since it does not allow the tire to "open" properly; however, manufacturer does not recomend it (more than 4inch diff between rim and tire width), but what do they know... For what we do it works better the 8", allthougt is not supposed to be the "right way"
