Hey i've been deep in the bible trying to figure out which is the best (elcheapo) shock. jackaroo, lux, and hiace for the front seem to be the go. and commo in the rear, im happy fab up new mounts but i was just wondering what is the longest factory shock repco or supercheap would stock?

hey josh,wrong way around there i think mate.Commy rears up front(vs wagon i think) and hiace,hilux in the rear.

A mate of mine had ke70 corolla rears in the front of his zook,they are pin top eye bottom and had big length and travel.
Also another mate had vk commy rear shocks im pretty sure in front of his hilux,they were very long and mounts would definately need to be made for both sets.Hope this helps and atleast you can just get the supercheap ones if wanted

go to supercheap and ask to see the book. it will more than likely be near the shocks. it has opened and closed lengths of their whole range. if you are doing new mounts it doesnt matter what mounting configuration you use just get long ones.

Before you go chasing lengths, take a quick think about valving. Poor valving can create a crappy handling floppy piece of junk.
