NOW IS THE TIME TO SPEAK UP.

Post by Midget »

As i posted in the tuff truck thread....I thought i would start my own for this to see what response i get..

I have been thinking about trying to get some new events going in the NSW area,But at the moment i'm flat starting a new buisness.
If there is anyone else that would be willing to lend a hand in trying get the sport to grow in NSW then now is your chancs to speak up.I'm not concerned with how much money we can make out of it,i just want some new events and for the sport to grow.
So who's up for it??????

There used to be some bike 'farm' type places down Crookwell way down Goulburn area.

Now lookin down there AWAY from the metro area may be an option for land to use. orth checkin out anyway, NFI who you would ask, but yea, the sydney metro area aint going to happen no way no how.

You could keep usin the land the Nissan Trials is on, but that would get dull really fast.

Yeah ok Jamie, I'll give you a hand.

But I'm only interested in looking at something that is primarily open to unregistered vehicles like XRCC and the mud racing down in VIC...

Too bad the Victorian Mudracing Association does not do rock racing, or trials comps and is based out of Sydney.

Cool thanks mate,i'm interested in getting the buggy style scene going as well, but would also like to see the other classes have a chance at competing.
I will start doing a bit of a search for some land that we can use.

Bogged
Yeah i know what you mean, the sydney area is going to be a challenge to find somewhere, but i'm willing to have a good stab at it.
And yeah we might be able to use the nissan trials site, but as you say it would get boring very quick, unless we see if we can get an area there where we truck in a heaps of rock and make some course's like the guys in the states..

Does anyone else have any thoughts???
And is anyone else willing to help out????

yeah count me in jamie. always willing to lend a hand. and im sure that we could find some locations for these types of events. (i know a few that we could use ;) )

one place that springs to mind is river island, near mittagong it's a nudie farm, but it is where the nissan trials used to be run and they are always holding club comps and stuff done there (away from the nudes)

hey maybe we could even just rock up at cutrock and let the buggys go loose with out letting the whole wide world know   ;)

anyway keep me in mind as i dont mind helping (sit in an office all day gettin paid to do sweet fark all, gotta use the phone & computer for something :D :D )
Im here for the sausage!

comps

Post by DIRTY ROCK STAR »

mate,
Im from Newcastle and call me lazy and greedy but having more comps within driving range of newy/sydney central coast would pull big crowds and be handy!

hmm, have you thought of contacting any farms north west of newcastle??
just a thought but how good would a location on a river somewhere be where swimming could help keep the crowd amused??

anything you need looked up or phoned around for i could help. and possibly checking out places using some computer resources i have like aerial photos, some other mapping software wouldnt be too bigger probs.

chuck a NIKE and just do it mate!!!

yeah cool mate thanks for that,it's good to see that there are more than a few people keen to get this sport going. And yeah it would be great to find somewhere close to the coast or newy.If you have arieal maps that could come in handy,I really think finding a venue should'nt be that hard, I'm pretty sure the insurance is going to be the hard task..but lets just see what happens.

Yeah Jamie, count me in, i will lend a hand in anyway i can...... even just building the tracks etc. It would be good if we could get some comps happening down here!! How about sites west of wyong or gossy? I live on an acerage but there would be no chance of getting council permission here! How about Old Sydney town? I am sure there is plenty of good wheelin to be had in there...... and it is vacant at da mo :D . Nah seriously, to get this going it is gonna take alot of team work , so count me in for sure.
