Brake lines
Hey guys,
Go the rover !! I'm so happy with it after yesterday, which was the first drive with the 35s and maxi rear setup. See pics in the trips section. Other than the wiring for the thermo's practically catching fire the only other drama we had was we noticed the front brake lines under articulation are stretching pretty bad. The left hand side has started to bubble in a few places on one of the lines. We carefully drove it home and it went ok. From my quick look this morning i think my two options are to get extended lines X4 [$$$-?] or it looks like i can unbolt the brake line bracket from the hub and make up a bit of plate to extend it up higher off the hub. The hard lines will have to be bent up to do this but it'll provide adequate length for the rubber lines by the looks of it. Suggestions/comments please ? Thanks, Jeremy

You should have opened that gate before you drove though it and got it stuck on the front of your rig
Yeah i was thinking that but thought since it's riveted on and the bottoms bolt on i chose to speculate on the bolt on option
yeah bought the locker/flanges/axles new.
Totally agree with the gate comment, it'd have to be the Grimace bar on the planet, but hey it's better than nothing. It'll be replaced with much nicer tube one very soon
edit for landy man - axles are 28 spl maxi in the back and stock fronts.

I'm not sure..... if one of you rangie guys could please give me a measurement of your brakelines either extended or stock, i would be very grateful. Not sure whether the ones on mine now are extended already or still stock. They've got spring type wire wrap around them for their full length. FYI i'm talking about the front.

If you are going to change the brake lines get the ABS versions cause they are heaps long...
I have 2" body lift and sus lift and the RS 30% kit and they still didn't need extensions
