Okay, picked up some 4.8 centres for fitment into rover housings....need to know which locker I need...
Are the RD23 for the 4 pinion diff and the RD01 for the 2 pinion

They both fit R23 is stronger.

so what is the difference then between them...as the RD23 is for '88 on..

The r23 has the bigger side carrier bearings you`ll need to swap those.
