Can i use std shocks with a 2" spring lift

Can i use std shocks with a 2" spring lift
Can I use standard Shocks with a 2 " spring lift or do I need longer shocks?
Compare the free heights of the springs. I tend to think that a lot of commercial 2" lifts gain the lift by fitting springs that are similar in free length but stiffer in rate. If this is the case then the stocker springs will be fine assuming they still work well. I would expect the aftermarket units for those springs may have a bit more stiffness in rebound.
If the springs are longer then just change the shocks. Rears are easy, fronts are a PITA.

I stuill thiink that Rangie Spares have the best range of springs available for Rangies.
Lots of commercial kits like you said have taller, but stiffer springs. Good if you do lots of outback travelling, but make the Rangie too stiff on-road!!
That's what i thinkl anyway.
