All,
Got my 1978 G60 ute on the road this week, however No 2 cylinder is low in compression !!! (35 psi)
Planning on doing a oil test on the weekend to confirm if the leak is the valves or rings (i.e. pour oil into he cylinder before the compression test).
Hopefully it is the valve and I can just change heads with a spare I have lying around. Are there any bodgy fixes to a valve WITHOUT removing the head ? One idea I was told was to spray ice cold water in the carbie at high revs to remove any carbon deposits ?
Are then any additives I can add or ANYthing else I can do before I remove the head ?
Steve
