Bateries Keep Failing

Post by n_dorphin »

Hey Guys,

I have been having to replace my battery every 8 months or so and have no idea why my pajero keeps killing batteries.

I've tested
Charging volt - 13.9 to 14.2
Amps current draw when off - 0.05

Any ideas?
Anyone having same issue?

Thanks

Well its a classic case of a s**ty earth strap, try taking the earth strap, off the body inner wing and give it a real good clean both mounting point and both ends of the earth strap then coat all faces with petroleum jelly before re mounted, try that and see what that does.

Gday,

Maybe a stupid question, but what does the Petroleum jelly do? Sorry to kinda hi-jack.

I would say he uses it as an anti corrosive?
