Chris has gone days without food because you demand payment. There is always someone demanding payment, too bad about those who actually do the hard yards.

Matt you created some awesome buggies. Don’t get me wrong we are very thankful for your help but you have added to our issues. The buggies just weren’t strong enough and we have spent a lot of time and money fixing those problems which just sets us back further.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the attitude presented in this post is probably more off-putting than any of the concerned posts from the "other side" in this thread. It just shouldn't get to a point where anyone is "demanding payment"; you don't get people to do work in the first place unless you can pay them imho.
Anyway it doesn't seem like these guys are going to post any more.

yup, it went from being a conversation to being something aggressive right there, i was following quite happily till that post, then my opinions changed

Bronwyn Bishop does it for me.[/quote]
First I want to thank those guys that sent some really supportive PM’s; your support is much appreciated.
I have had long discussions with my Investors, sponsors and friends over the last few days and we’ve decided that the Outlaws Competition is something that we can no longer justify pursuing. We are changing direction as a company and believe that holding an Event of this type in this State would be better taken on by someone within the industry itself and with the competitors’ full support. I really do hope this eventuates.
Obviously the comp scene is where it belongs to be, so there’s no point me trying to change things. That is not a criticism just a fact and something I needed to learn.
All ticket sales and entry fees will be re-funded directly.
We are going to pursue the Rock Racing business model aggressively with business people outside the industry and I feel very fortunate to already have some interest. Personally I really like the idea of finally being part of a team working towards a common goal.
There are a few things I do need to address on this forum:
I’ve spoken to Matt and we are working on a resolution that I believe he and I are both happy with. I will ad Matt’s work on my buggies was always first class; he’s an amazing fabricator and they are incredible vehicles. The diff problems we’ve had have been the result of weak 4.88 gears and locker issues; as people know Glenn Dobbin built our diffs and we never had an issue with any of his parts.
West has my number.
Over one million dollars of the money invested in this business is mine and my Investors; we are all prepared to wait to get our money back from the court-case mentioned earlier. I was made promises that have cost me $100,000s and in turn cost others money; we all look forward to having this matter resolved.
After selling four ‘Drive Experience’ businesses Ragged Edge will be out of debt and moving forward. We did need to get a point where selling the drive experience businesses was viable; which is now the case.
Thanks for your feedback both good and bad; I’d like to think it has been heard and responded to accordingly.
I was going to leave it at that but there is one more thing I want to say.
Cheezy is absolutely right; this is a one sided story; it has to be because it’s my story. Knowing some of what Cheezy’s been through I reckon his story would be worse. Through Ragged Edge I know a heap of guys in the industry and they all seem to be doin it tough now; guys have lost their life savings, homes, marriages because they want to run a 4x4 shop. Small business is hard, small business in 4x4 is ridiculous. So why do they do it? Because they love 4x4; but they pay a big price for that lifestyle.
I didn’t put my story up here to go “poor me” or to slander any one else; I appreciate guys have done the best they can for me under their circumstances. I put my story up so people could see there is potential. My business didn’t fall over because customers didn’t like the product or because there wasn’t a market; I got done-over by a Bank. I know a dozen Property Investors who got stuck in the same position and are now taking the same action I am.
I feel like one of the fortunate ones; I can get my matter resolved with the Bank and get a “do-over”; do it the way I should have done it the first time through the hard lessons I learnt. Most guys don’t get that chance.
