what diff ratio to go with?

hey because i have to replace the crown wheel and pinon im just wondering what ratio i should go for if im running 33" tyres and i also have a set of 36" tyres for fun but also just wondering whats the standerd ratio of the 80 series diffs?

assuming 80 series? which engine etc?

standard is 4.1:1. it's a good ratio, strong and cheap to replace if you do break them. if you regear, lower ratio gears are more expensive and not as strong.

if you need improved crawl ratio, get transfer case gears. then you get to keep your tall gearing for the highway.

Don't forget, if you change rear ratio you have to change front as well... :cool: :cool:
