Thinking of converting myself

Post by 93shorty »

Hey defender people, I've always been a NISSAN PATROL person & currently own a GQ SWB lifted, on 33"s & a few other trick bits & love it
but am looking at up grading in the next 12 months & the new NISSAN's aren't really tickling my bits. I like the new 09 Defender 110 station wagon & considering buying one, I cant help myself & would want to lift it 2" so is there a certain brand that works better for them or dosen't matter??? Also can you fit a set of 33"s on them??? Cheer's

33's fit fine. Most people fit 255/85-16s (33") - which should fit on the standard rims. You can go to 285/75-16s if you want wider tyres.

I assume you mean a spring lift, as a body lift on a defender is difficult and unnecessary. I have +2" king springs, but there are lots of other options. You can even easily swap to airbags, which will give you variable lift height ;)

33's will fit with no lift but a 2" spring lift is better.

As Ben says, Bodylift is a bad idea. 35's will go under a 2" lift.

yeah I would be doing a 2" suspension lift not a body lift as I've never been a big fan of the body lift. I'd like to go 33"s on 15" rims, so will the 15" rims interfear with the disc brakes or is it no worries and is the stud pattern the same as a Patrol???

Thanks guy's
Sorry to be a pest just want to know what Im in for before I buy :D
