79 series rear springs fit 75??

Post by Barno111 »

G'day as the name says. Can i fit a 79series leaf pack into the rear of my 75 ute? Of coarse i will have to get extended shackles, but will the fit or is there alot of stuffing around. Want to get the extra length of the mains and wraps.

Cheers Barno

ive looked at this for my 75 troopy and measuring up they wont there appears to be about 85mm difference from the front eye to the centre retaining bolt ....i figured its either bolt them in and move the rear back around 85mm thats a lot of work ...shock mounts ,handbrake cable, brake lines, tail shaft etc , or move the front mounts forward to retain the diff in the stock spot which i figured would be easier and cheaper option .....it would be a good conversion though more comfort and flex if you do it could you do a pic thread
