check the wireon the starter. the push on wire can corode and cause problem starting. mine does this sometimes.

to test if its the solonoid next time u got to start it and it wont, get a screwdriver and contact it across the 2 positive terminals of the starter. if it goes then all u need to do is add a relay to the trigger (spade connection wire). the others have said this can get corroded and loose good conectivity over time.

Is the motor full of water? Have you removed the spark plugs to blow out any water that may have got in there to prevent hydraulicing the motor?

you will find that you have water in your solinoid, tends to get a bit of corrosion on them and it will not throw it in, only way to fix it is to replace it, but a quick fix is to give the solinoid a light tap (I said tap) with a hammer (hard thing) this should free it up for a start...
Give it a try...
You have nothing to loose....
Just want to play...........
