TB42E ENGINE RECONDITIONING

Hi All
I am in the midst of wanting to get my GQ TB42E Engine reconditioned!
I am located in the newcastle region nsw and was wondering if anyone can recommend any Engine Reconditioners in the area!
Has anyone had theres done and any mods to improve the power? And If they were happy with the job done!!!

If anyone can give any information or ideas it would be greatly appreciated

What torque? Tighten it till it strips and then back it off half a turn.

Also curious about this, as i am considering an engine conversion.

I think i may have a corroded block - so was looking at rebuild or replace.
I'm always looking for more info - and i'm in newcastle as well....
