Which glow plugs for Surf?

Post by want33s »

I have to put a set of glow plugs in a 1993 Surf tomorrow. LN-130

Apparently there are two types... 7.5Volt and 11Volt..
How do I know which ones this engine needs.... I'd like to try and save time by purchasing the plugs before I get the car.

It's a 1993 Surf with a 2LT-E engine.... Model: Q-LN130-GKPQT
Toyo-DIY tells me the glow plug part #28621 but that doesn't help much.

Thanks Jas.

jas it is the 11volt you will need mate, dont just trust my judgement but im pretty much 99.999999999999% sure it is the 11 volt that you need.

if you take the plug out it will say it just near the nut on the top. mine are a 7 volt as the engine is pre 1985, anything after 1985 got the upgraded glow relay and the higher voltage plug i think!!

the eleven volt plugs are about 28 bucks from repco each and the 7 volts should be about 20 not that you need them tho lol. (Bosch branded)

The correct Bosch number for the 2LTE is GPT-223.
