finally sat down and worked out wot im gonna do for the front suspension..

ive been having trouble designing something workable due to space constraints. but have finally decided

ive used front radius arms from a GU patroll, with the 1st mounting points cut off them both, using them as lower links, with heim/rose joings at the chassis end

and the top im doing a single link, dual chassis mounts, to stop the sideways diff motion as well, removes the need for a panhard. caus i jsut dont have enough room to do a triangulated 4 link.

and ive deciede that im gonna change the rear setup almost immediatley.

after ive got her going and had a quick play, im gonna rip the rear top links off, and th epanhard, and to a triangulated top link setup... keeping the bottoms parallel, and move the springs outboard of the chassis. but thats after ive had a play in her first

the other problem i still have, and have had since the day i got the scat, is the blown high range in the transfer case.

im still having trouble sourcing another one.

the other option is to get a matching auto and transfer case out of a pathfinder and bolt it straight to the engine.

only propblem here is it may not fit in the tranny tunnel, and might be too long, causing me to have to remove the fuel tanks and replace them as well... to me its far too much work. but not being able to find a replacement scat transfer case has become a real problem

cant drive around in low range everywhere....make everybody deaf, and put a huge amonunt of wear on th emotor..not to mention how slow im gonna be going down tracks and things

make the 4 link yourself. it is easy as. just take your time. use 6mm plate and it will all be bananas.

for the front, use a panhard, its just better for what most people want. 2 lowers and one upper running just inside the chassis rail. then, for the panhard run it parallel with the draglink and it will drive sweet even at speed.

as for the rear coils... do what you want, if it doesnt work it isnt that hard to move them out further, if you get the fourlink setup right you wont end up like the bbm scat anyway (in most cases)
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

No mate progress has hit a dead stop for the last few months due to health problems.

BUT i started on it again this week so should get some more happening now.

rear driveshaft and brakes are now done.

front upper link is now nearly done

gotta go kick her in the guts and get the motor some useage points before it gets too long haha
