G'day all.
just wondering if anyone has done this before.
With mine and my brothers old ls1 landcruiser the h55 copped a flogging and never gave up.
i think i may have found a 80 series rolling chassis now i'm just wondering how hard it would be to put a h55 box in it?
it will also be getting an ls1 and have a 75 series cab (as long as the project goes ahead).
just seemed like a good idea, use something thats tried and tested.
Any feedback appreciated.
Cheers, Mark

Re: n
Standard box for the FJ80 was H150F. I can't see the point in going back to a H55F, the later box is a much stronger option especially 5th gear, but the OD ratio isn't as tall.solo13 wrote:ive got early 80 and box is h50

H55f is fine just don't punch it in 5th 1-4 is very strong.BFCK97 wrote:so you think a h150f would be better?
i was just going to use a h55f because the one in my old cruiser with an ls1 stood up to it pretty well.
