help rb30 5 speed jumps out of reverse.

Hey guys. my rb30 box jumps out of reverse after a few mins, i can lightly hold it in but un held it pops out. any suggestions on what it'll be?

During removal and re fitting have u had any of the side bolts on the upper half of the gear box out, there's a couple, behind them is a spring with a ball bearing at the end, if you've loosened these the bearing ends up in the bottom of the box and it won't stay in gear, one more question are you saying it pops out when parked or when driving? Only because you say after a few mins

nutter thanks. the box had been pulled down before i got it so that could be possible. it jumps out when moving. guess ill take it out at some point soon and find said bearing.

if you drain the oil the bearing will be on the magnet, with that said you dont have to drain it to be certain pull out the bolts and put 2 new bearings in anyway if it fixes it you'll know straight away very easy to do in car.
