Did you do a 5" spring lift or a 3"spring + 2" body in your GU?

Sorry mate but if you want advice you need to ask a proper question, it's very vague. You say you're running 3" coils with coil spacers, how thick are the spacers and how high is the car sitting now?

What's the point in having a 5" lift on a shorty?

The point of this thread is that in my opinion there is too much accumulative negative opinion-my2c worth...politely meant of course ;)

The Q could have been posted better. I think a 3" susp lift is heaps and i've got 4".
5''...well you're getting near the top of what you will ever need for a lift and that includes a long wheel base so why go there.

If you have 3" coils and spacers already then thats heaps m8, driving ability and skill has to start accounting for itself somewhere eh!

leave the 3'' springs with 5 '' shocks in just make sure u have drop out cones in the rear.. 5'' coils are pretty big for a shorty man, 3'' is plenty. Also what size tyres are you running or planning on running?

i had same setup as you have and a month ago i put 4"lwb shocks in the rear 5" in the front rateted at 250lb sits nice and even,BUT,i also put drop boxes adjustable panhards, flexy arm,16mm longer trailing arms custom cross member and running rancho 9000 in front and rancho 9000xl in rear also had to trim rear guards to tuck tyres up getting close to 800mm flex also ditched both swaybars..and im happy with it and its my daily driver/toy

hey,

i think you should keep your 3" as 5" is getting very high for a shorty, i ran a 3in in my shorty and think it s too high in some situation s i m running 35" and it very rarely get hung up on somethimg
